Using our Hunter’s Bacon. A sweet and salty treat that is sure to elevate your next gathering. Perfect for when you’re hosting a brunch or looking for something fun and different to bring to a potluck.
1 pack Greenridge Farm Hunters Brand Bacon
6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
Optional Toppings- sea salt, chopped pistachios, sprinkles and toasted coconut
*Add any of your favorite toppings
Preheat oven to 400F
Cut bacon into thick slices (about 1/8inch or a little less). Add bacon to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 30-35 minutes until just crispy
Cool on a drying rack covered with a paper towel for 10 minutes.
In the meantime add chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl. Heat in 30 second increments at half power, until melted. Stir in between.
Cut the cooled bacon into 2 inch pieces.
Dip bacon into melted chocolate until it is covered ¾ of the way. Scrape off excess chocolate on the side of the bowl. Set bacon on a clean baking sheet lined with parchment.
Immediately add toppings to bacon before chocolate cools.
Cool the finished bacon in the fridge for 15 minutes until chocolate sets.
*Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
*Makes about 20 pieces.
