Instructions

    1. Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (177 degrees Celsius).
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and ranch dressing mix until smooth.

  2. Add the seeded and sliced jalapeno peppers, cooked and chopped Greenridge Farm Applewood Bacon, and sliced Greenridge Farm Jalapeno Cheddar Sausages to the cream cheese mixture. Stir until all ingredients are evenly combined.

  3. Next, it's time to make the calzone dough. In a separate mixing bowl, add 1 1/4 cup water, 1 tsp salt, 3 cups bread flour, 1 tsp dry milk powder, 1 1/2 Tbsp white sugar, and 2 tsp active dry yeast. Mix the ingredients together until a dough forms.

  4. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and roll it out into a large rectangle shape.

  5. Once the dough is rolled out, transfer it to a greased cookie sheet or baking dish.

  6. Take the cream cheese and jalapeno mixture and spread it down the center of the dough rectangle, leaving a little bit of space at the edges.

  7. Sprinkle the shredded Mexican cheese blend on top of the cream cheese mixture.

  8. Using a knife, cut the dough on either side of the mixture into strips, leaving about a half inch of space in between the strips.

  9. Starting at one end of the rectangle, fold the strips over the cream cheese mixture in a braided pattern. Make sure to press the dough together where the strips overlap to seal in the filling.

  10. Once the calzone is assembled, brush melted butter over the top of the dough.

  11. Place the calzone in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and heated through.

  12. When the calzone is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
