When hungry family members are on there way home for dinner whip up our Sausage & Penne a la Vodka recipe! A creamy sauce with savory sausage over a pile of pasta, will have everyone busting the door down for dinner!
- 4 Greenridge Farm Black Forest Sausage, chopped into small pieces
- 1 box of penne pasta (1 lb)
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1/3 cup Vodka of choice
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 1/4 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Cook pasta according to package.
- In a large skillet melt butter or margarine over medium heat.
- Add sausage, and saute until lightly browned.
- Stir in the Vodka until it is reduced by half, about 4 to 5 minutes.
- Next add the tomato sauce and cream. Simmer uncovered for 10 to 12 minutes, stir every few minutes.
- Combine the pasta to the sauce, heat through.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
