Sausage Jambalaya

A classic Creole dish that will have your family begging for seconds! Combining our Greenridge Farm Andouille Sausage with delicious Cajun spices creates a dish that you won’t be able to resist!

Yield: 4

Ingredients:

 

  • 4 Greenridge Farm Andouille Sausage, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp butter 
  • 2 cups Spanish rice
  • 2 cup water
  • can diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped 
  • garlic clove
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper, chopped 
  • 1 Tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • Hot pepper sauce for taste

For the Cajun Seasoning:

  • 2 Tbsp paprika
  • 2 Tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp ground black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp ground white pepper
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp dried thyme
  • 1 Tbsp cayenne pepper

InSTRUCTIONs:

For the Cajun Seasoning:

Combine all spices in small bowl, mixing well.

  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons ground white pepper
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper

For the Jambalaya:

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet and add rice, cook 4-5 min or until rice is lightly brown, stir constantly.
  2. Add water and cajun seasoning to the rice, constantly stirring again.
  3. Add Greenridge Farm Andouille Sausage and the rest of the ingredients.
  4. Bring to a boil, then simmer and cover the pot for 15 min.
  5. Remove from heat, stir.
  6. Serve and Enjoy!!
